How To Set Up a PaintScout Integration

Learn how to connect your PaintScout account to GlassHouse and automatically sync customer records.

💡 What It Is

The PaintScout integration allows GlassHouse to automatically sync customer records from your PaintScout account. Once connected, your customer data will stay up to date without manual imports.


⚙️ How to Connect

Obtain a PaintScout API Key

  1. Contact PaintScout Support and request an API Key.
  2. Once received, copy the API Key and keep it available for the next step.

Open Integrations in GlassHouse

  1. Navigate to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Select PaintScout.

Connect Your Account

  1. Paste your API Key into the required field.
  2. Select Connect.
  3. GlassHouse will automatically validate your credentials.

Run Your First Sync

  1. Select Sync to begin importing your data.
  2. Allow a few minutes for the initial sync to complete.
  3. Verify your customer records appear in GlassHouse.

Where do I get my API Key? API Keys must be requested directly from PaintScout Support.
Do I need to generate the API Key myself? No. PaintScout does not currently offer self-service API Key generation.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

Issue Possible Cause Resolution
Unable to connect Invalid API Key Verify the API Key provided by PaintScout Support and reconnect.
API Key not available API Key has not yet been issued Contact PaintScout Support to request an API Key.
No records appear after syncing Initial sync still processing Allow additional time for the sync to complete.
Sync fails API Key has been revoked or changed Request a new API Key from PaintScout Support and reconnect the integration.
